4. Joey Hauser, Marquette

Forward | 6-foot-8 | 210 lbs | No. 51 overall

Marquette has arguably the best roster in the entire Big East outside of Villanova. Even though Andrew Rowsey is now gone, the team brings back plenty of talent. Most notably, offensive superstars Markus Howard and Sam Hauser are back and ready to attack. In addition, the program has added three major newcomers to the mix for this upcoming campaign. Transfers Joseph Chartouny and Ed Morrow are getting plenty of press for what they can bring defensively and on the glass, but incoming freshman Joey Hauser will also be a major contributor.

Sam’s younger brother, Joey was a highly-rated recruit throughout all of high school. With excellent size to play as a forward, Hauser is already well-built for the college game and can score both inside and out. He is an extremely polished offensive weapon and could be used either as a starter or a spark-plug scorer off the bench.

Regardless of this, though, it is reasonable to expect that, if 100% healthy, he will provide some high-quality minutes for head coach Steve Wojciechowski. He might not be a superstar right away but his contributions will certainly add to the frontcourt depth of the team, something that was a bit of an issue last season.
