Expectations for McKnight in 2018-2019

The upcoming season is going to present enough challenges for the Golden Lions. The senior guard will not be on their list of problems entering the year. Coach Ivory knows what he is going to get from McKnight, night in and night out he can expect his senior leader to produce. Ivory is hoping that play of the senior guard will help to up the play of the rest of the players on the roster.

As was mentioned earlier, most teams in this conference are going to be overmatched when it comes to non-conference play. Even with McKnight that is not going to change for the Golden Lions. Due to the collection of the schools in this conference not having a large budget, these teams must play the games against the power 6 schools for money. Games they will go into as large underdogs. The hope for coach Ivory is that his super guard can keep a lot of these games close.

Inside the conference, anything can happen for McKnight and the Golden Lions. Coach Ivory and the guard have high expectations. Arkansas Pine Bluff entered the conference tournament as the overall No. 1 seed last season. Only to see their season end against Texas Southern one game away from the NCAA tournament. That one game is not going to sit well with the best player in the conference. The guard and the rest of his Golden Lions teammates are looking to take the next step and get over the hump. Will the senior guard have enough to get them there?
