1. Elite shooters

Basketball is all about 3-point shooting these days. If a team has somebody that can gun it from long-range, there’s always the possibility of staying in games.

Aric Holman is one of the best shooters in the country. Last year, he made exactly 44% of his 3-point shots, averaging 10.9 points per game. He was multidimensional, pulling down 6.7 rebounds per game as well.

He’s not the only Bulldog equipped with some shooting acumen.

In a very limited sample size, Nick Singleton hit over half his 3-point attempts. Granted, he only attempted seven 3-point shots in 2017-18. With more playing time, however, it will be interesting to see how that skill translates.

Tyson Carter knocked down 34.1% of his 3-point shots, which was actually down two points from his freshman season. Still, he wasn’t shy from behind the arc, attempting over four and a half 3-point shots per game; he could become a lethal volume shooter.

Quinndary Weatherspoon also returns. He could stand to work on his 3-point shot, but the Bulldogs’ leading scorer from last year still converted 31.3% of his attempts from downtown.

The Bulldogs definitely have the potential to be the best shooting team in the conference, setting them up for success.
