4. North Carolina Tar Heels

Frontcourt players: Brandon Huffman, Sterling Manley, Luke Maye, Garrison Brooks and Nassir Little (No. 3 recruit)

The Tar Heels may not be as deep as a West Virginia or Florida State in the frontcourt but they might have the best one-two forward punch in both Maye and Little. The MVP of the McDonald’s High School All-American game is a dominant athlete who can score in a number of ways. He has a legit shot at being the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

He would normally be considered the best player on North Carolina if it wasn’t for one of the frontrunners for the 2019 Wooden Award in Maye. The former preferred walk-on broke out last season, averaging 16.9 ppg and 10.1 rpg and was a First-Team All-ACC performer.

The two of them on their own qualified the Tar Heels to the top-10 but the potential of the three rising sophomores vault them up to this level. Brooks is a former four-star forward who had his moments as a freshman, while Manley averaged a whopping 21.7 ppg and 14.4 rpg per 40 minutes in limited playing time. Huffman at 6’10 and 250-pounds is the biggest player on the roster who also performed well in limited minutes. With head coach Roy Williams expected to loosen the reigns, look for this trio to be part of the Tar Heels main rotation as they look to make another Final Four run.
