3. Xavier Musketeers

Commits – 3: Freemantle (97), Ramsey (117), Miles (194)

Current Rank: No. 5 overall class

Even though Xavier had to bid farewell to Chris Mack this offseason, the program has still been extremely successful on the recruiting trail. Head coach Travis Steele has been snagging commitments seemingly left and right this offseason and the Musketeers currently hold one of the best recruiting classes in the country for 2019.

And it was definitely needed. Although it still seems likely that Xavier will compete for an NCAA Tournament bid during 2018-19, recovering from the massive losses suffered this offseason might be a multi-year process. With several players likely to return after this upcoming campaign along with (at least) these three players joining the program, 2019-20 could be an excellent season for Coach Steele.

What makes this recruiting class so special at the moment is that all three players are highly-regarded. It is a difficult enough task to secure three commitments this early in the recruiting period let alone see all of them land in the current top-200. The future is bright for Xavier as long as Coach Steele proves himself as a quality head coach in addition to being a dynamite recruiter.
