1. Quentin Grimes, Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks will reload on the recruiting trail after losing their Top 3 scorers from a season ago. After making it all the way to the Final Four in 2017-18, guards Malik Newman and Devonte Graham both made the move to the NBA. Despite the losses, the Jayhawks will still be loaded with talent in 2018-19.

Dedric and K.J. Lawson will be eligible after sitting out due to transfer rules, but incoming freshman combo guard Quentin Grimes is one guy who shouldn’t get lost in the shuffle this upcoming season. The 6-foot-5 guard finished his senior year ranked 10th in the nation and second at his position.

Grimes put up 29.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists during his senior season, earning him a nod as the Gatorade State Player of the Year and a selection to the 2018 McDonald’s All-American game. Along with that, he also has experience on the USA Basketball circuit alongside big man David McCormack.

Given, they had an opportunity to build on their team chemistry early, look for Grimes to be a key contributor this upcoming season as one of their top scorers.
