Big 12 Basketball: Top 10 recruits joining the conference in 2018-19
4. Jordan McCabe, West Virginia
The West Virginia Mountaineers were a scrappy bunch under Bob Huggins in 2017-18. They’ll have some rebuilding to do in the backcourt, replacing fearless leader Jevon Carter, but help is on the way. Point guard Jordan McCabe will have big shoes to fill with the departure of Carter.
McCabe, a native of Wisconsin, earned the Mr. Basketball award in his home state for his performance this past season. He completed his prep career by averaging 26.7 points per game, accumulating 2,442 points through his prep career.
The 5-foot-10 point guard ranks as the 114th ranked player in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Wisconsin in the 2018 recruiting class. He possesses the tools of a complete point guard and also shot 35.2 percent from 3-point range as a senior. The pressure will be on for him to produce in 2018-19, although big man Sagaba Konate should help improve things as well.
