1. Bill Self is due for another title

Ever since Bill Self took over as the head coach of the Kansas basketball prior to the 2003-04 season, the program has thrived in terms of regular-season success. In fact, the Jayhawks have reached the NCAA Tournament in each of Self’s first 15 years at the helm of the program with their lowest seed as a No. 4. Quite simply, Kansas is a national title contender every single year and this season should be no different.

Yet, despite being a title favorite just about every year, the Jayhawks have only cut down the final nets one occasion during Coach Self’s tenure (2008). However, this does not mean that Kansas has not been successful in the NCAA Tournament. In fact, the program has made it to at least the Elite Eight in each of the last three seasons (one Final Four) as a No. 1 seed in each season. Because of this, it certainly seems as though Kansas is due for a title.

Just about every powerhouse program in the country has multiple titles in this century except for Kentucky and Kansas. With this said, it seems as though one of them seems poised to not only make a deep run but finally add a second championship banner to their respective rafters.
