6. Creighton Bluejays

National Ranking: No. 50

Creighton is not traditionally one of the better recruiting programs in the nation but head coach Greg McDermott is off to a good start in regards to his 2019 class. During this upcoming season and the future beyond that, one of the biggest roster holes for Creighton seems to be backcourt talent. Considering both Marcus Foster and Khyri Thomas are no longer with the team, the Bluejays definitely need to look ahead in terms of guard play. And that is exactly what Coach McDermott did to kick off this class.

The only 2019 commit for Creighton thus far, Shereef Mitchell, projects as a potential stud for the program. A 6-foot-0 guard from Omaha, Mitchell is ranked at the No. 150 recruit in the class and already boasts a well-rounded game. Although he does not have elite-level size for the point guard position, he is quite quick and has a variety of offensive moves.

In six games on the Adidas Gauntlet, Mitchell averaged 11.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in a touch over 20 minutes played per game. From an efficiency standpoint, Mitchell posted reasonable shooting slashes: .475/.375/.750. Considering he still has an entire year before stepping on Creighton’s campus, he has plenty of time to develop.N
