Key bench players

Herb Jones, Guard/Forward

Herb Jones will play enough games in the starting rotation to be considered a starter. The man can do it all. He can consistently switch on defenses and defend any player 1-4. He also has a great chance to be drafted in the NBA draft this coming year.

Riley Norris, Guard/Forward

Riley Norris has a great chance to make something special in his final year in a crimson uniform. He was supposed to not play this year, but his medical redshirt means that he got to come back. He’s a great D-and-3 prospect, and he also will be a senior leader on a team that could use it last year.

Avery Johnson Jr., Guard

Coach Johnson’s son is a spark plug that can be used in many different instances. he will perform well in hostile road environments. He can be a consistent attacker when the midseason slump hits the team. In some cases at home games, he can even be the guy that gets hot and carries the Tide. No matter how he is used, he is a great chess piece for this team.

Others

Alabama can play about 10 players, but they should not give huge bench roles to anyone besides these three guys. Some non-starters who could play quality roles, however, are Daniel Giddens, Alex Reese, and Galin Smith. Freshmen Diante Wood and Javian Fleming are wild cards, and Lawson Schaffer is a fan-favorite in garbage minutes.
