Non-conference schedule for 2018-19

Nov. 7 (H) – North Florida

Nov. 10 (H) – Coppin State

Nov. 21-23 (Battle 4 Atlantis) Butler, UVA or MTSU, Oklahoma, Stanford, Florida or Wisconsin

Nov. 30 (H) – Miss. State

Dec. 4 (H) – Detroit Mercy

Dec. 8 (A) – Auburn

Dec. 16 (N) – Tulsa

Dec. 15 (H) – Western Michigan

Dec. 19 (H) – Presbyterian

Dec. 22 (H) – Georgia Southern

The Dayton Flyers have a few hiccups on their non-conference schedule but it’s nothing that shouldn’t prepare them for a run to the NCAA Tournament. It will be a steep hill to climb for them to be considered a tournament team right away, but the Battle 4 Atlantis will be an early test for them.

Dayton will face the Butler Bulldogs, a consistent staple in the NCAA Tournament with the potential of facing three other teams that made it to last year’s tournament. The Mississippi State Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers also made the 2018 NCAA Tournament while a Mike Davis-led Detroit Mercy squad certainly isn’t one to sleep on.

With two games to build on before the Battle 4 Atlantis, confidence should be high all season long for the Flyers entering Atlantic 10 play. They will have three home games against Western Michigan, Presbyterian and Georgia Southern before opening up conference play against Richmond at home.
