Utah Utes

National Rank: No. 39 overall

Although Utah might not be bringing in any top-100 recruits this year, there are very few recruiting classes as deep. Head coach Larry Krystkowiak had a lot of holes to fill this offseason and it seems like he accounted for each and every one. In total, the Utes are bringing in six new players (5 freshmen, 1 JUCO transfer) that can impact the future of the program. Utah has only reached the NCAA Tournament in two of the last nine seasons but the program has won 20+ games in each of the last five campaigns.

Expectations are not tremendously high heading into this season but it would be a mistake to say that the Utes will not at the very least compete for an NCAA Tournament bid. Even though Utah has not heard its name called on Selection Sunday all that often in recent years, the program always seems to be in the discussion. With this class coming in, the future looks bright considering this core will be able to grow together over the next few years.

In terms of headlining players in this class, top-150 recruits Both Gach and Timmy Allen stand out. Both players are highly-athletic wings with the ability to play multiple positions. Given this versatility at the heart of the class, Coach Krystkowiak should have plenty of lineup options to roll with in the future. In addition, guard Charles Jones is rated highly (No. 13 JUCO transfer) and could see a significant role right away.
