Tulsa’s reserves and newcomers

Who will supplement Haith’s starting five? First is a pair of returning guards in redshirt-junior Curran Scott and sophomore Elijah Joiner, both men will be looked upon to have increased roles in 2018-19. The two returning guards while seeing action in all 31 games and being relatively productive in limited minutes (9.7 points combined), they will have to take a significant step forward offensively. Joining them in the backcourt is Chris Barnes, a transfer from UTEP who scored nine points and seven rebounds as a freshman.

The depth in the frontcourt will likely come from a trio of newcomers. Peter Hewitt and Simon Falokun join the team from the junior college ranks and Jeriah Horne is a transfer eligible redshirt-sophomore from Nebraska. Hewitt is 6-10 big man who began his career at UC-Davis where he redshirted, then played last season at Las Positas College in California where he averaged 10 points and nine rebounds.

Falokun is a 6-8 forward from Texas who played last season at Dawson Community College in Montana, he netted 15.5 points and pulled down 9.9 rebounds, earning him All-American Honorable Mention honors in the junior college ranks. The 6-7 Horne played in 29 games as a freshman at Nebraska scoring four points and nearly two rebounds in 11.8 minutes per game.
