3. Carte’Are Gordon – Forward – Saint Louis

Big man Carte’Are Gordon is already making quite the impact on the St. Louis Billikens roster for 2018-19. In a recent workout, Gordon can be seen nonchalantly breaking one of the backboards in a recent workout, showing just how powerful he really is with the ball in his hands.

Gordon was rated as the 73rd overall prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, but it didn’t stop him from staying close to home. The St. Louis native chose the Billikens over Kansas and Missouri as one of the highly touted forwards in this year’s class. The 6-foot-8 big man produced 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game at Webster Grove (MO) during his final year of high school.

He’s certainly prepared to do more for the Billikens given his knack for attacking the rim with reckless abandon. They’ll have Javon Bess and Hasahn French back in the rotation as well which helps in the experience department. Head coach Travis Ford is brewing something special at St. Louis, so don’t be surprised if Gordon emerges as a leader on this year’s squad as well as a potential lottery pick.
