UMBC has an interesting non-conference slate ahead of them in 2018-19. The Retrievers open the season on the road against the Marquette Golden Eagles before two home games against Shenandoah and Manhattan.

They’ve got a four-day trip in The Bahamas for the Bimini Jam where they’ll face Air Force then High Point or South Dakota from Nov. 16-19 before returning home to face American on Nov. 24.

It will be an interesting mix of games for them before they face Northern Kentucky (Nov. 30) and Coppin State (Dec.3) in back-to-back road games. They should be easy victories for them but will difficult to come by on the road.

Four of the final five games on the UMBC Retrievers schedule will be at home, with Florida Gulf Coast and Dunk City paying a visit on Dec. 16. A road victory game against Penn State on Dec. 29 could pay dividends in their quest to another NCAA Tournament bid. Their non-conference slate doesn’t exactly post as a very difficult one but it’s a good warmup to play in the America East Conference.
