7. North Carolina A&T Aggies

The North Carolina A&T Aggies won the most overall games last season (20) in the MEAC while finishing 11-5 in conference play. Head coach Jay Joyner took home MEAC Coach of the Year honors, but with 10 newcomers on the roster for 2018-19, they could find themselves sporting a different look.

Team chemistry will be a bigger focus with four freshmen, two junior college transfers, three graduate transfers and a Division 1 transfer in the mix. Big man Femi Olujobi took the graduate transfer route himself, choosing Depaul over the Aggies in the end, despite his solid production in 2017-18 (16.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game).

5-foot-10 guard Aaren Edmead returns for his senior campaign after averaging 9.6 points, 2.9 assists and 2.0 rebounds last season. 6-foot-2 point guard Kameron Langley is also back after earning MEAC All-Rookie team honors for his play in 2017-18. Langley averaged 7.4 points, 5.1 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game as a freshman. While they’re limited in production from last season, their graduate transfers will be looked upon to make an impact right away, hoping to build on the Aggies’ success from last year.
