Villanova Wildcats

Biggest Need: Keep options open.

Villanova basketball is, without a doubt, in a transition phase. Considering Jay Wright is still the head coach and there are many talented players on the roster, it would be a mistake to say that the Wildcats are “rebuilding” but it is obvious that the program is entering a new era. Elite stars such as Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson are no longer leading the way and, following the graduations of Phil Booth and Eric Paschall after this season, it is clear that new faces will take control of the program.

And, considering Coach Wright has already locked up three tremendous recruits from the 2019 class, I do not think there are any major needs left. In terms of recruiting rankings, the top commit to the program right now is Bryan Antoine. Ranked at No. 13 in the class, Antoine represents an elite-level recruit who should be an immediate difference-maker for the powerhouse program.

Additionally, the Wildcats are also bringing in two more top-75 recruits in Justin Moore (No. 49) and Eric Dixon (No. 58). To put it simply, Villanova basketball will have no shortage of talent in the future. The program is in great shape for the future and should continue to compete for national championships year after year.
