Joey Hauser

The only 2018 commit for the Golden Eagles this year, Joey Hauser projects as a future star in the frontcourt. Ranked as the No. 52 recruit in the 2018 class, Hauser has very few weaknesses in his game. He can score both inside and out, rebound effectively, and is an underrated passer out of the paint. Standing at 6-foot-8, Hauser brings plenty of size and is not afraid to be physical in the paint on both ends of the floor.

Quite simply, Hauser can succeed in just about any role. He may still have room to develop his game but he is one of the most well-rounded and polished freshmen joining the Big East this season. Furthermore, the potentially dynamic duo of the Hauser Brothers (Joey and Sam) could be extremely scary when on the court together. Coach Wojo will have many weapons at his disposal this year and Joey Hauser just adds to that.

Additionally, it does not hurt that he has been around the team for a significant amount of time. After suffering an injury that ended his final high school season, Hauser joined the Marquette roster at midseason. Because of this, he should already have plenty of chemistry on the court with the rest of the team and, as long as he stays healthy, Hauser will be a major contributor this season.
