Key Reserves

Michael Benkert

Benkert is a Junior that played in 31 games as a sophomore. He did only average just over six minutes per game, so he was more of a guy that gave the starters a quick break. He will look to fit into a bigger role this year, but with the depth at guard, he still may not see a lot of time. He will look to be a guy the Bruins can count on if the starting guards get in foul trouble or need a rest.

Nick Muszynski

Muszynski is a big-bodied freshman that could find his way into the rotation this year. At 6’11” he is the tallest guy on the team and if he can prove early that he can play at this level he could be a big part of the Bruins this year. He could end up being the under the radar type signing that Belmont has become very good at.

Grayson Murphy

Murphy played in four games last year before taking a redshirt like Benkert. He got some good minutes in those four games but did not produce much. He like Benkert could give the Bruins some more depth in an already stacked guard position. He looks to be the sub that coach Byrd can rely on. Again, he won’t be looked at to score for the Bruins but could give some good minutes off the bench. Look for him and Benkert to share time early and whoever gets off to a better start to become the go-to sub.
