Non-Conference Schedule

November 6: Cleveland State
November 9: Dartmouth
November 15: Wichita State (Charleston Classic)
November 16: Appalachia State/Purdue (Charleston Classic)
November 18: TBD (Charleston Classic)
November 24: Northeastern
November 27: Charlotte
December 1: UNC-Wilmington
December 4: Winthrop
December 15: Temple
December 17: Wake Forest
December 22: Central Penn (DII)
December 29: North Carolina

Davidson has several tests in its non-conference slate headlined by the contest in Chapel Hill against North Carolina, arguably the No. 1 team in the country this year. Its second-biggest challenge won’t be the Shockers of Wichita State, but will instead be Temple, who bring a veteran squad that returns seven of its top ten scorers from last year. Nonetheless, Davidson will have Wichita State circled on its schedule in hopes for a quality, yet likely, non-conference victory.

Wildcat fans shouldn’t ignore their squad’s November 24 game against Northeastern, who just missed the NCAA Tournament last season. Northeastern possesses a veteran group with a winning reputation. UNC-Wilmington could threaten Davidson with an upset bid, too.

In the best case, Davidson enters conference play with one loss to their name, most likely to North Carolina. More likely, however, is a 10-3 Wildcat team who aims for an Atlantic 10 Conference title.
