Analyzing the Hawks’ 2018-2019 non-conference schedule

Nov. 9 (H) – Old Dominion

Nov. 12 (H) – Monmouth

Nov. 15 (N) – Wake Forest

Nov. 24 (A) – William & Mary

Nov. 28 (H) – Illinois-Chicago

Dec. 1 (H) – Temple

Dec. 5 (A) – Princeton

Dec. 8 (A) – Villanova

Dec. 22 (H) – Loyola-Chicago @ the Palestra

Dec. 29 (H) – Wagner

3 games to watch:

@William & Mary: Picked to finish 4th in the CAA coaches’ poll, the Tribe are not to be slept on. They lost some key players from last year, but will still have 3 players who averaged at least 13 points per game to work with. This will be the first away game that the Hawks have, so it will be a good test to see how a team that hasn’t played too much together will be able to come together

vs. Temple: If there’s one Philly rivalry game that you watch all season, make it this one. Both of these teams will have seriously talented backcourts and will be contenders in their respective conferences. It’s also Fran Dunphy’s last season as head coach of the Owls, and you know this game will be one he wants badly.

vs. Loyola-Chicago: Two legendary mid-major schools battling at one of college basketball’s most storied venues. That should be all I need to tell you.

Projected record:*

Wins: Old Dominion, Monmouth, Wake Forest, Illinois-Chicago, Princeton, Loyola-Chicago, Wagner

Losses: William & Mary, Temple, Villanova

*Note: There are 2 games (the Myrtle Beach Invitational) for which the opponents are still TBA.
