Auburn Basketball: 2018-19 Tigers season preview
Key Reserves
F – Anfernee McLemore
McLemore is one of the best reserves in the nation. The junior doesn’t see much floor time (only 19 minutes last season), yet he manages to contribute greatly, as he posted 7.4 points and 5.5 rebounds last year. Not to mention, he is one of the best shot blockers in the country with 2.7 blocks per contest as a sophomore.
F – Horace Spencer
The Philadelphia native has been a common name in Auburn’s bench for some time. As a freshman, Spencer saw 18 minutes of floor time per game, the most of his career. He averaged 16 and 17 minutes per game his sophomore and junior seasons, respectively. He won’t crack the starting rotation, barring any injuries, but his 4.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game from last season indicates that Spencer will have a large role from the bench.
G – Malik Dunbar
Dubar, one of five upperclassmen coming off the bench for the Tigers, scored 5.4 points per game in his first season at the Division I level last season. Though perhaps the eighth man in the rotation, Dunbar should see around 18 minutes of floor time considering Auburn should rely on its depth greatly.
