Marshall begins the season with four of its first six games at home. After opening on the road against Eastern Kentucky, they face a tough Hofstra team in their first home game. On Black Friday, the Holiday shopping will have to wait as the Herd travels to face Maryland. The team then eases into the month of December, before finishing the year and non-conference schedule with a tough three-game road trip that takes them to Akron, Texas A&M, and finally Virginia on New Year’s Eve.

D’Antoni’s schedule has winnable games early against the likes of Mount St. Mary’s and North Carolina A&T, but post-Thanksgiving things really kick into gear for the Herd with William & Mary, Ohio, Toledo, and Duquesne on the slate in addition to the year- ending road trip and the Maryland tilt.
