No. 1-5

1) Cleveland Cavaliers – R.J. Barrett, SF/SG, Duke
It’d be so Cavs if they got the No. 1 overall pick again but, if they do, Barrett will give them the kind of star they need in the post-LeBron era. He’s one of the most well-rounded freshmen we’ve seen in the one-and-done era and is my pick to win National Player of the Year.

2) Phoenix Suns – Nassir Little, SF, North Carolina
Little continues to rise up NBA Draft boards because of his ability to single-handedly win a game offensively while simultaneously shutting down the opponent’s best player on defense. Phoenix is still developing their roster and could go best-player-available here.

3) Atlanta Hawks – Sekou Doumbouya, SF/PF, France
The best international prospect in this class, Dounmbouya is a versatile 6-9 17-year-old who already has plenty of FIBA and professional experience. Atlanta is still in major rebuild mode and Doumbouya has the kind of potential they could gamble on.

4) Brooklyn Nets – Zion Williamson, PF/SF, Duke
Zion Williamson was made for the bright lights of New York. Yes, Zion needs to demonstrate a consistent three-point shot but he is dominant in every other phase of the game. Brooklyn hasn’t had a high lottery pick in forever and Williamson would give them the star they desperately need.

5) Chicago Bulls – Cameron Reddish, SF, Duke
The third Duke freshman projected to go in this top five, Reddish is a smooth offensive threat who could be Chicago’s long-term answer at small forward (it isn’t Jabari Parker). He may be somewhat limited as Duke’s third option as a freshman but projects to be an outstanding scoring wing at the NBA level.
