The Hokies looked a bit lackluster in the first half of their game against Purdue this past Sunday, but they bounced back in the second half, showing that adjustment had been made.

Three different Hokies’ starters finished the game with over 20 points against the Boilermakers back in Sunday’s championship game. Nickeil Alexander-Walker put up 25 points while Ahmed Hill and Justin Robinson scored 23 points apiece.

Virginia Tech has a trio of playmakers set to make the leap with their experience. Robinson is averaging 17.0 points and 6.0 assists per game this season as the floor general this year. Alexander-Walker is beginning to emerge right behind him, averaging 21.8 points and 4.5 assists per contest. As teams begin to key on him, look for his assist number to go up.

Hill has looked better than ever. He’s shooting 47.4 percent from behind the arc and averaging a career-best 14.5 points per contest. As they continue to play together more, look for each of them excel in the Hokies rotation. If they can keep that going each game, their production will be hard to stop come January.
