5) Oh, Pac-12

Going back to UCLA, they lost both of their games in the Las Vegas Invitational, adding to what has been a downright awful season for the Pac-12 to this point.

Along with the Bruins’ disappointment (that seat Steve Alford is sitting on is getting real hot right now), Washington was upset by Minnesota, Arizona went 1-2 in Maui, Stanford went 1-2 at Atlantis, and Colorado lost to San Diego.

Arizona State is the only team that is still undefeated through five games and the conference as a whole is very clearly behind the other five power conferences in college basketball, according to KenPom.

In fact, Oregon (No. 22) is the only team that ranks in the top 39 in KenPom’s rankings. The Pac-12 only got three teams into the NCAA Tournament last year largely due to their lack of non-conference wins and they haven’t gotten any this year.
