Nwora, Williams and Perry Lead The Resurgence

Louisville certainly has a points a per game leader, a leading rebounder and a leader in assist per game but to say that they have an A1, “Big man on campus”, lead-by-example “head honcho” would just be untrue.

Louisville is led by committee in almost every aspect and many might argue that that’s what makes this team so hard to beat. On any given night eight of the teams ten man rotation could drop 20 points and pick up the slack of a faltering teammate.

In the coming months the difference in failure and success in conference and postseason play will be directly related to the development and growth of the Sophomore class. The known quantities of the Junior and graduate transfer leadership won’t alter the path of this polar express.

The season will hinge on the work of true Sophomore’s Darius Perry, Malik Williams and Jordan Nwora. All have been significant contributors and starters throughout the season and Nwora leads the team with 17.7 points per game.

They have all looked capable, at times, of being All-ACC players and have often, at other times, looked like literary embodiments of the meaning of the word sophomore…”wise-fool”.

With some focus on personal growth and taking on leadership roles, oh how I wish and I hope this Christmas for: Talent to meet opportunity and allow this Sophomore class to lead Louisville back to its rightful home among the game’s elite.
