10) Minnesota Timberwolves – Nickeil Alexander-Walker, SG/PG, Virginia Tech
Alexander-Walker is a talented, athletic 6-5 guard who excels in the pick-and-roll, making him a prime target to make the full-time switch to point guard at the NBA level. Jeff Teague may not be the long-term answer in Minnesota so I think they could gamble on the sophomore.

9) Orlando Magic – Darius Garland, PG, Vanderbilt
The Magic need a point guard so they might as well, but they’re eyeing Darius Garland. Though his season is already over due to a knee injury, Garland proved he was worth his No. 1 PG ranking in the 2018 recruiting class with his scoring and playmaking abilities.

8) Brooklyn Nets – Rui Hachimura, PF, Gonzaga
This is Brooklyn’s first pick this high since they moved from New Jersey. There’s no surefire superstar available here but Hachimura has excellent offensive skill and is still coming into his own. The Japanese native also has international appeal and will help generate interest in a Nets team that could use that boost. Oh yeah, he’d help sure up their frontcourt, too.

7) New Orleans Pelicans – Cameron Reddish, SG/SF, Duke
If Reddish is still available at No. 7, the Pelicans would be ecstatic. A top-five recruit in the 2018 class, Reddish has struggled to find his role alongside Barrett and Williamson this year. His physical tools remain intriguing and he’ll eventually break out of this slump but, for now, he slides because of it.

6) Washington Wizards – Keldon Johnson, SF/SG, Kentucky
The Wizards are all set to hit the reset button on their roster and that likely means trading Bradley Beal (since they can’t get rid of John Wall’s contract). Johnson would serve as a viable replacement. He can do it all offensively and has emerged as Kentucky’s go-to guy already.
