Pac-12: Luguentz Dort, Arizona State

What a joke the Pac-12 has been this season.

A likely one or two bid league, the Pac-12 is experiencing a nasty drought of talent. Between Arizona State’s Luguentz Dort and Oregon’s Bol Bol, there isn’t much of anything going on in the desert.

Dort wins by a small margin here, as he has lifted to Sun Devils to be the favorite in the Pac 12. Dort led ASU to an upset win over Kansas a couple of weeks ago, and is gaining serious traction to be picked high in next summers’ NBA draft.

Dort is averaging 18 points and five rebounds per game for the Sun Devils, and has emerged as one of the top freshmen in the country for Arizona State.

Next season should be a lot different for the Pac 12, but needless to say, 2019 is really, really disappointing.

Patriot League: Kimbal Mackenzie, Bucknell

Bucknell is the favorite to win the Patriot League, and that is mainly due to the stardom of senior guard Kimbal Mackenzie, who carries most of the load on offense.

Mackenzie is averaging 15 points and four rebounds per game on the season, and has led Bucknell to a 6-6 record in non-conference play.

Mackenzie should have the ability to put on a show in March, as Bucknell should be dancing. Mackenzie leads the Bison in scoring, and will be at the center of all big games that they’ll play down the stretch.

The Patriot League isn’t always a hot bed of talent, but Mackenzie is a talented player in his own right, and earns the title as the Patriot League’s top player.
