Who is this Villanova team? To put it simply, the Wildcats are one of the most inconsistent teams in the nation despite boasting a top coach and plenty of talent. In my opinion, Villanova should still be able to turn things around and compete for the Big East title but they did not prove much while struggling to dispatch DePaul during this past week. Head coach Jay Wright still deserves the benefit of the doubt and it seems like they will be dancing in March.

Speaking of teams with question marks at the moment, though, is it possible that Wisconsin peaked too soon? The Badgers, who quickly climbed into the top-25 behind the stellar play of Ethan Happ and D’Mitrik Trice, have dropped their last two games (at Western Kentucky, vs. Minnesota). Their overall resume is still impressive enough to land a reasonably high seed but it is reasonable to wonder just how successful this team can be in conference play. Inconsistencies are arising.

And while the majority of this region is full of flawed teams, I am extremely high on both Virginia and Florida State. These two ACC teams have a ton of talent and should receive high seeds in the NCAA Tournament. Tony Bennett and Leonard Hamilton have done a nice job leading their respective teams and their conference battles should be fun to watch.
