3. Bury open 3-pointers

My third and final key for Buffalo is their 3-point efficiency. Currently, Buffalo is 32nd in the nation in 3-pointers attempted per game. They are not the most efficient team behind the arc, though, shooting 34.4 percent (178th nationally). The key here is that they will not be getting easy threes all game.

Toledo holds their opponents to 29.2% from behind the arc, which is 29th in the nation. Buffalo needs to be efficient from behind the arc if they are going to continue to shoot the amount of threes per game that they do. Their success from three starts with their leading scorer and team leader C.J. Massinburg. Not only does he lead the team in points but he also is second on the team in 3-point percentage at 44% and is first in total 3-pointers made.

Their next two leading scorers, Jeremy Harris and Nick Perkins, shoot under 30% from three. Massinburg has just about twice as many 3-pointers made than other other Bull besides Harris, showing how pivotal he is to their success from range.
