1. Jalen Johnson

Jalen Johnson is a 6-foot-8, five-star small forward who ranks No. 4 overall and No. 2 in his position in the 2020 class. Johnson has taken official visits to Arizona, Duke, and UCLA. His official visit with the Blue Devils was on Oct. 19, 2018, after receiving an offer from Duke in July of 2018.

Johnson is a superb athlete who already has great size. He has good ball handling skills and is creative when finishing around the hoop. Johnson also looks to catch the ball at the free throw extended range. Once he catches the ball, he faces up his defender and takes a slightly falling away jumper. Johnson also shows the ability to knockdown open 3-point shots and play aggressive defense.

The Wisconsin native would be a great center piece for the Blue Devils. He could act as a go-to scorer and become a match-up nightmare at the three or stretch four position. Johnson resembles that of recent Blue Devil Jayson Tatum. The Blue Devils have a 71% chance to land the small forward according to 247Sports crystal ball. The Wisconsin Badgers are currently sitting with a 29% chance to land the hometown kid. The Badgers will be the Blue Devils hardest competition because of the hometown appeal.

There is currently no timetable set for Johnson to make his college decision.

It would be a success if the Blue Devils were able to land three or four of these five-star recruits, along with some longer term pieces. As of now, the Blue Devils are sitting good with these potential players.
