After another week of college basketball action, where do teams stand in our projected field of 68? Check out this edition of bracketology.

Who knows what is going on in college basketball right now? Just when we think there might be some stability in the national rankings, top teams drop like flies and we are left wondering if this will be the most exciting NCAA Tournament in some time or if the top seeds will figure it out and roll through opponents come March. Of course, the NCAA Tournament is still a long way away but that does not mean that bracketology season has to wait for anyone.

Teams around the country piled up quality wins during this past week and the bubble is still enormous as programs everywhere have kickstarted conference play with W’s. With that said, the bracketology projected field of 68 noted several major shifts during this past week, the most important of which arguably centering around the Mountain West (Nevada) and the Pac-12 (Arizona). These teams, although in vastly different spots in the national rankings, posted opposite results during this past week that have led to major changes up and down the seed lines.

For those who are new to my bracketology updates, please read this notice: My projected fields are not based on my own opinion on the teams selected/seeded but rather how I believe the committee would build the field as of right now. I use blind resumes in my first draft of each field to eliminate as much bias as I can and focus on what I think the committee would do.

Alright, now, without any further ado, let’s dive into this week’s projected bracketology field of 68.
