Mississippi State Bulldogs

Mississippi State fumbled a bit to begin SEC play with losses to South Carolina (away) and Ole Miss (home) out of the gates. They then responded in strong fashion, though, with wins over Florida (home) and Vanderbilt (away) to solidify their spot as a clear-cut at-large bid at this point in time. The Bulldogs are one of the more experienced teams in the nation and should continue to grow throughout conference play. With that said, though, a difficult stretch of schedule approaches with three of their next four games on the road (only home game against Auburn).

LSU Tigers

Sticking with the SEC, LSU has been one of the hottest teams in the nation over the past month. The Tigers have won seven consecutive games, including those over Ole Miss (away) and South Carolina (home) during this past week. LSU is starting to make a case for returning to the top-25 and they are definitely starting to realize their potential. Head coach Will Wade is one of the best in the business and this team is extremely dangerous. Tremont Waters and Naz Reid are playing at an elite level.
