Iowa State Cyclones/Baylor Bears

Due to the fact that Iowa State and Baylor had nearly identical results this week, I lumped them together. To put it simply, both teams took down Oklahoma State (Baylor on the road, ISU at home) and Texas Tech (Baylor at home, ISU on the road). These results, though, affect the teams in different ways. For Iowa State, this helped put the team back on track after back-to-back losses. On the other hand, Baylor needed these wins to improve their potential to reach the Big Dance. The Bears still have some work to do with regards to their at-large resume but this week could go a long way.

Kansas State Wildcats

Kansas State easily put together one of the best weeks of any team in the country. First, they went on the road and took down an extremely impressive Oklahoma team by double-digits. After that, the Wildcats put together another strong performance with a 10-point home win over TCU. These victories represent two of the biggest wins for K-State so far this year as they are starting to show signs of the team that was ranked in the preseason top-25. Head coach Bruce Weber’s team has won four straight games since starting Big 12 play at 0-2.
