2. NC State Wolfpack: SELL

Just because it’s another pack of wolves, doesn’t mean you should hang on to this team. Outside of a home win against an Auburn team that has slipped as of late, NC State doesn’t have any quality wins. They may have plenty of opportunities to change that, but nothing about this team’s performance leads me to believe they are going to take advantage of those opportunities.

NC State’s up-tempo, fast and loose offensive style of play may be fun to watch, but it isn’t a long-term method for success. NC State’s defensive efficiency is outside of the top 50 – when the chips are down, I am not so sure they can get the big stops they need to win close games. I’m also not sure I trust Torin Dorn to make the big shot or big free throws with the game on the line.

Looking at the rest of their schedule, it’s very much possible that the Wolfpack finish right around .500 in the ACC. I think their current top -5 ranking is bound to disappear as they play more games against tough conference foes. Sell now, before their value gets depleted in an upcoming 5 game stint that features games at Louisville and at North Carolina and hosting Virginia and Virginia Tech.
