Bracketology 2019: NC State plummeting, LSU rising in projected field
Bubble Outlook
During this edition of bracketology, I won’t go too far into my bubble. This is due to the fact that I also debuted my bubble watch this week. This piece includes an entire breakdown of every team in consideration for an at-large bid at this point in time. For those interested, the link to that piece is at the bottom of this page. Now, without any further selfish promoting, here are my last four teams in the field and first four missing out. (The bubble is shrinking quickly and there are fewer teams competing for not many spots.)
Last Four In: Alabama, Butler, Baylor, Florida
First Four Out: Arizona, San Francisco, Arizona State, Temple
Bids by conference (seeding in parenthesis)
Big Ten (10 bids): Michigan State (1), Michigan (2), Maryland (3), Purdue (5), Iowa (6), Wisconsin (7), Nebraska (8), Indiana (8), Ohio State (10), and Minnesota (11).
ACC (8 bids): Virginia (1), Duke (1), North Carolina (2), Virginia Tech (3), Louisville (4), Florida State (7), Syracuse (9), and NC State (10).

Bracketology season is heating up with each week. Teams around the nation are starting to bolster their resumes and this is an incredibly important time of year. It will be interesting to see which teams start to separate themselves from the cutline over the next couple of months.
Next Update to the Bracket: Tuesday, Jan. 29.
