Creighton Bluejays

After dropping four consecutive games early in the Big East schedule, Creighton recorded a big week with back-to-back wins. During this past week, head coach Greg McDermott’s team took down Georgetown (away) and Butler (home) to move up the national rankings. With the way the Big East is trending at this point in time, Creighton is still right in the thick of potentially finishing third in the conference.

The Bluejays, like most of the teams in the Big East, need to finish .500 in conference play in order to make the Big Dance. With that said, though, they have a reasonably friendly schedule remaining and it would not be a shock if they were able to reach that nine-win minimum to stay in contention. Their next two games, though, will be vital to th future.

Creighton was listed as OUT in our most recent bracketology field but then they picked up that home win over Butler. The Bluejays are still likely out of the field but they are definitely trending in the right direction after this past week. They still have work to do with back-to-back home games against St. John’s and Xavier coming up.
