2. Jon Teske vs Tyler Cook

Tyler Cook is Iowa’s leading scorer and he is not an outside threat at all. Teske will be tasked with controlling him down low. Teske has down a great job guarding the other team’s big man and he will be relied upon again on Friday night.

After struggling a little bit early with Kaleb Wesson, Teske shut him down in the second half and really frustrated him. He took him out of his game and the Buckeyes struggle without his scoring. Cook is more agile down low so Teske will have to be on top of his game.

Cook is not on the same level as Ethan Happ, but they are comparable in size. The ability for Teske to make him take tough shots will go a long way in deciding this game. Iowa shoots the ball well from the outside and Cook does a good job finding open shooters, so Michigan will probably not double much and that will leave Teske to do what he does with the big man. The Wolverines have trusted him to be able to handle guys by himself and he has rewarded them for that. If he shuts down Cook on Friday, Iowa will have trouble scoring.
