7) Killian Tillie, PF, Gonzaga

This is where we take a significant step up in pro potential.

Tillie, a member of the French national team, began the year as a projected late first-round pick but has seen his stock fall thanks to an ankle injury that caused him to miss all of Gonzaga’s non-conference play. He has worked his way back up to full strength against WCC competition, yet he won’t get a chance to improve his draft stock until the Zags face tougher competition in the NCAA Tournament.

At his best, Tillie looks like a prototypical stretch four in the NBA. He has range that extends out to the three-point line, good touch on his mid-range jumper, and is quick enough to take his defender off the bounce. Tillie is also a good enough ball handler and passer to be a triple threat when the ball is in his hands.

However, despite his 6-10, 220-pound frame, Tillie struggles to hold his own inside the paint. He gets pushed off the block easily and is nothing more than an average rebounder because of it. Tillie can also be a liability defensively due to slow lateral movement and the fact that he’s not a great leaper.
