The Nittany Lions finally got their first win of the year Monday night when they beat Northwestern. That is enough to get them out of the cellar for at least one week.

Before that, they had come oh so close to winning multiple games. Their last three games have been a one-point loss to Minnesota, a four-point loss to Rutgers and an overtime loss to Purdue. For not having a win they are surprisingly competitive in most of their games.

As the losses continue to mount the fan base is starting to get more and more restless for change. Pat Chambers did lead the Nittany Lions to an NIT championship last year but has not done much besides that. His seat has to be getting hot and if this season continues to go in the same direction, he will probably be without a job next year.

Even in a bad season, Lamar Stevens continues to shine. He is averaging 18.9 points per game which is third best in the Big Ten right now. If he continues to play well he could make first team all-conference this year.
