Best Performance, Team – Lipscomb

The Best Performance, Team section has finally gone the way of the individual section as the Lipscomb Bisons become the first two-time winner of the season after a historic week for the program.

On paper, the Bisons just had a pair of ho-hum blowouts of ASUN opponents,  extending their conference winning streak 13 games, the second-longest mark in the nation.

And while Saturday’s 102-80 win over Division I-newbie North Alabama was that, Lipscomb’s 79-59 evisceration of Liberty on the road on Tuesday was a statement win.

The Flames were having a similarly strong season as the Bisons, with a win over a Power Five schools and a high Net rating. It was only the seventh matchup this century between two squads that were at least 7-0 in conference play.

But, Lipscomb showed that they are on a different level from the rest of the league by shutting down the feisty Flames.

The Bisons currently sit at 32 in the NET rankings, making them a legit test-study case for the committee. But, more on that in the next section.
