Captains of the NCAA All Star teams

Team Zion

Oh come on, who else would it be!?

At this point, even someone that couldn’t tell you what conference Notre Dame is in still has at least heard of Zion Williamson. The 6’7 sensation has dominated on both sides of the ball for the Blue Devils scoring 22 points per game (ppg), 9 rebounds and 2 assists. He’s also shown efficiency, shooting 68% from the field.

On top of that, he’s become an excellent shot blocker and willing defender.

His flashy dunks and hunger for the highlight reel makes the freshman phenom an easy choice for the first captain.

Team Markus

With all the hyper seemingly placed on Williamson, it would be easy to discount the clutch kid from Marquette.

However, Markus Howard isn’t going to let you underrate him. The junior currently averages 24.6 ppg, good for 5th in that stat. He’s also spread the wealth on the box score, averaging 4 assists, 4 rebounds and 1 steal a game.

Howard has also distinguished himself as a killer at the end of games. Whether he’s making go-ahead baskets in overtime against Louisville or dropping 53 in an overtime win against Creighton, Howard has shown he can elevate his play anytime the Golden Eagles call for it.

Now that we have our leaders set up, let’s take a look at the starters, beginning with the guards.
