Forwards/Reserves

Jordan Caroline – Nevada

When placed on an already loaded team, it can be hard to stand out.

Nevada’s Jordan Caroline doesn’t have that problem. The senior is scoring 18.4 ppg and almost averages a double-double with 9.9 rebounds.

His 40 point game last night at Colorado State only strengthens his argument for being one of the top 20 best players in the country.

Ignas Brazdeikis – Michigan

The Lithuanian-Canadian combo has been a key part to the Wolverines’ success this season.

Ignas “Iggy” Brazdeikas averages 15.5 ppg along with 5.5 rebounds. More importantly, he’s been one of the most balanced players for the Wolverines showing off his incredible scoring ability with ever-improving defense.

The freshman has become arguably the most important player on a two loss Michigan team that eyes championship glory in March.

Mike Daum – South Dakota State

Honestly, what Mike Daum is doing on the basketball court needs to receive more attention.

The senior has always been an excellent player for the Jackrabbits, but now he’s found himself top 5 in scoring with 24.9 ppg and top 10 in rebounds with 11.3.

Daum’s also close to making it in the record books, as he’s just less than 200 points away from joining the 3,000 club in college basketball.

Luke Maye – North Carolina

Like Tyler Zeller and Tyler Hansbrough before him, Luke Maye has become the token dominant white big for the Tar Heels this season.

The senior averages 14.9 ppg and 9.9 boards, close to a double-double.

Maye’s ability to bully inside, step outside for a mid-range and not turn the ball over are key to the Tar Heels’ success this season.

Caleb Martin – Nevada

The other star on Nevada’s high-powered attack, Caleb Martin has become one of the deadliest dunkers in college basketball.

The senior averages 19 a game with 4.9 boards and 1 steal.

Martin has been integral into why many people see the Wolf Pack as a dark horse candidate to cut down the nets in March.

Jordan Nwora – Louisville

Nwora has become a jack-of-all-trades showing off an excellent post moves, coupled with a deadly 3-pointer and a nose for getting boards.

the sophomore averages 17.8 ppg, 7.7 rebounds and 39% from the perimeter.

Nwora has taken over as the leader for the Cardinals and is keeping them in contention for an NCAA Tournament berth.

Brandon Clarke – Gonzaga

One of the most dominant rim protectors in college basketball, Brandon Clarke combines a versatile offensive attack with a lockdown defense around the basket.

The junior is averaging 16.4 ppg with 7.8 rebounds and is in top 5 in blocks per game with 3. Clarke showcases an efficacious offensive ability shooting 68% from the field and 37% from downtown.

On an already loaded team, Clarke may be the difference the Bulldogs need to get over the hump and finally find themselves cutting down the nets.

Snubs: PJ Washington – Kentucky, Fernando Bruno – Maryland, Yoeli Childs – BYU, Jordan Murphy – Minnesota
