Indiana – Hold

Indiana is one of the more confusing teams in the country. They hold wins over Marquette, Louisville, Butler and Michigan State. Those wins are currently holding a ton of weight with their NCAA tournament resume. Over the last month leading up to the Michigan State game the Hoosiers looked completely disinterested in playing basketball. So disinterested that coach Archie Miller was out of answers. Indiana has enough talent to make the NCAA tournament led by future lottery pick Romeo Langford and center Juwan Morgan. It was the other pieces who were struggling to find their role on the team.

The win over the Spartans has the potential to change the course of the season for Indiana. The Hoosiers looked to be a team that lacked confidence in every aspect of the game. The product on the floor during their 7-game losing streak was so bad, some were calling for Archie Millers job. Coach Miller is in his second season at the helm for Indiana, and no matter how bad it got this season the former Dayton head coach was not going to be fired.

Indiana looked different in their win over Michigan State. With each made basket they were gaining confidence. It may have been the opponent, or it may have been the idea of still making a potential run to the NCAA tournament. The Indiana of the non-conference season had returned. Indiana is a hold as of right now. Many bracket experts will need to see more in regard to Indiana finally righting the ship after their mid-season seven game swoon.  As of now the Hoosiers are in the tournament. If they continue to pick up wins in the league and can get themselves to .500 they will hear their name called on Selection Sunday.
