NCAA Bracketology: Buy or sell Indiana, Baylor, Temple, and Ohio State

Nebraska – Sell
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the Power Five school with very little tradition. They have only made the NCAA tournament seven times, while there the Huskers have compiled a record of 0-7. This year was supposed to be different for Nebraska and Head Coach Tim Miles. The Huskers entered the season as one of the favorites for the Big Ten conference crown. In the Non-Conference portion of the schedule everything was going according to plan. Nebraska looked like a team who could make the NCAA tournament and had the talent to make a run and win their first tournament game.
When the Big Ten conference play started Nebraska’s season has spiraled out of control. They look like a shell of themselves. One of the Huskers stars Isaac Copeland was lost for the year with a knee injury suffered in a loss to Ohio State. In the current five-game losing streak Nebraska is experiencing, every aspect of the game seems like a chore. The players appear to be doubting each other, and there have been other moments in which Coach Miles has had to mass sub because of a lack of effort by his senior laden and experienced team.
In the recent games Nebraska has played better but they still resulted in losses. The Huskers are now playing games not to lose and afraid to make mistakes. Those two do not usually result in wins. Even after all of this Nebraska is still firmly in the mix for the NCAA tournament provided they can win some games. The winning games part is why they are a sell. The remaining games on Nebraska’s schedule are not favorable for a team that is fighting it as much as Nebraska is.
19 wins overall should do it for Nebraska but at this point with the remaining schedule seems like a stretch. A win on Wednesday night against Maryland would go a long way for Nebraska regaining confidence.
