1. Coaching

The Wolf pack are one of the better-coached teams in the entire country. Coach Musselman comes from coaching bloodlines. His father a former NBA coach. Musselman often talks about growing up around basketball and among coaches that is father associated with. The things that he has learned have come out in how he game plans a game. He expects his team to be great, and they have rewarded his expectations by believing in their coach and giving the full buy-in.

As was mentioned about Nevada is built almost entirely from transfers and that is the team building strategy that has seemed to well in Reno. Many coaches believe to win games you have to remain old. When saying remain old that usually means having a lot of 4-year program guys, grad transfers and experienced transfers leaving their former school for a number of reasons. These players almost always get an offer from Nevada. Once the player arrives in Reno they seem to thrive and Coach Musselman can get the most out of these players.

Rumors are swirling about various job openings and how much of a fit the Wolf Pack head man would be for those jobs. If Nevada keeps winning and they reach their full potential, the Wolf Pack may be another team with a head coaching vacancy. His name is one of the hot names because he wins, and his game planning and in-game adjustments are some of the best in the game. To go along with the ability of Musselman to get the most out of his players, his name carries a ton of respect in coaching circles and his record and pedigree speak for itself. Nevada should be very happy with they currently have, and enjoy it while they still have it.
