Top Challengers

Maryland

Big Ten Record: 9-4

Best Big Ten Wins: Wisconsin and at Minnesota

Worst Big Ten Loss: Illinois

The Terrapins have lost some close games by losing to Purdue by two points, 62-60 and at Wisconsin by eight. Maryland at one point had a six-game winning streak by suffered a couple of losses of late but they still have a legit chance at the Big Ten title.

Maryland’s remaining schedule is very difficult. They have to play at Michigan and Iowa along with home games against Purdue, Michigan, and Minnesota. This Terrapins team is talented and young so if they can get some momentum and win all of their remaining home games, they can possibly seize the Big Ten title.

Wisconsin

Big Ten Record: 9-4

Best Big Ten Wins: Michigan, at Iowa, and Maryland

Worst Big Ten Loss: Minnesota

The Badgers have won six straight before losing at Michigan and are looking to continue their winning ways as they chase a Big Ten title. Wisconsin after losing back to back games to Purdue and Maryland have beat Michigan, Maryland, and Minnesota. They are led by their All American candidate Ethan Happ who leads the Badgers in points, rebounds, and assists per game.

Wisconsin’s remaining schedule is manageable but not easy by any means. The still have to play Michigan State, Iowa, and at Ohio State. The Badgers can win the Big Ten this year as this year’s race for the Big Ten title is a race to the finish.
