10. Indiana Hoosiers (13-11)

Previous rank: 12

You would think with a win over Michigan State a team would be a ranked a tad higher than 10th in the Big Ten. But Indiana responded from a big time win over the Spartans and lost two straight. Indiana looked so desperate against Michigan State two Saturday’s ago and somehow scrapped out a victory even without one of their best players in Juwan Morgan. But losing two straight at home shoot them back down.

A lot of people thought that the win over Michigan State was the turnaround. I could’ve easily been. Especially since Morgan returned and had a really good game against Iowa. He didn’t look hurt at all in that game. Iowa led by 10 at halftime, but Indiana outscored the Hawkeyes 36-31 in the second half.

They just got totally outplayed by Iowa. The Hawkeyes have a true point guard, a deep bench and shooters. Indiana has a point guard by committee, Al Durham is really the only three-point threat and the bench couldn’t  match what they did against Michigan State. De’Ron Davis looked healthy and Devonte Green was happy to be back and went off on the bench against the Spartans. They combined for just seven points against Iowa.

It was another close affair with Ohio State. The Buckeyes did outscore Indiana in both halves, but it ended in just a three-point loss for Indiana. Romeo Langford actually has back-to-back games of knocking down three three-pointers. But as It would seem, no one else really shot the ball well for Indiana. It comes down to not having a true point guard. Ohio State has a serviceable one in C.J. Jackson. Morgan was a rebounding machine against the Buckeyes, but couldn’t buy a shot. It’s always important to follow up a good win with more wins, but Indiana did not do that so here they sit barely in the top-10.
