Pac-12 Conference

Lead-pipe lock: None.

Firmly in the field: Washington

Some perspiration: None.

Double the deodorant: Arizona State

Washington Huskies (19-5, 10-1 P12)

Washington only played one game during this week and they suffered their first loss of Pac-12 play, falling on the road to Arizona State. On the whole, the Huskies are still quite safe with regards to making the Big Dance but they cannot afford that many more losses because of how weak the conference is this year. I am comfortable saying that the Huskies will make the NCAA Tournament and they should win almost every game left on their schedule. I think the loss to ASU, who is a pretty good team, will just be a blip on the radar for head coach Mike Hopkins’ team. Current projected seed: No. 7.

Arizona State Sun Devils (16-8, 6-4 P12)

Who is this Arizona State team? After dropping a home game to Washington State at the end of last week, the Sun Devils responded in a monster way by taking down Washington to keep their tournament hopes alive. But then they followed that up by falling to Colorado on the road. To be honest, I think it will be really hard for Arizona State to make the tournament due to their incredible inconsistencies. I am admittedly much lower on ASU’s resume than most bracketologists but they will need to turn it on to make the Big Dance. Four of their last six games come on the road as well, so that will not be easy. Current projected seed: OUT.
